Information You Provide
Search Terms
When a name, location, or other query is entered into a search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider operating the tool. Kerr County Inmate Population does not keep its own separate log of those search terms.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or other contact message, the details in that message may be kept long enough to read it, respond, and manage the request. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Information Collected Automatically
Basic technical information may be collected when pages load or when site features are used.
- IP address.
- Browser type and browser version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on pages.
- Referring website, when one is available.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies may be used to understand how visitors use the site and to support ads or analytics. A browser can usually be set to block or delete cookies, although some features may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- To keep the site available, stable, and reasonably fast.
- To send search requests to the provider that powers a selected search tool.
- To understand which Kerr County inmate-record pages are useful to visitors.
- To diagnose broken links, display problems, and technical errors.
- To display advertising that may be selected based on visitor activity or interests.
Outside Websites and Public Agencies
The site links to sheriff pages, Kerr County public records resources, Tyler/Odyssey portals, TDCJ, BOP, ICE, VINE/VINELink, and third-party search providers. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that website's own privacy notice and data practices apply. Texas public-record access is governed in part by the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 552, but that law applies to government bodies rather than to this private website.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites for interest-based advertising. That tracking is controlled by the partner, not by Kerr County Inmate Population.

- Analytics providers that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.
- Law enforcement, courts, regulators, or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security
Reasonable security practices are used to protect information handled through the site. No website, server, network, or internet-connected service can be promised to be completely secure, so no breach-proof guarantee is made.

This site is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or guardian may request deletion.

- Request a copy of personal information held by the site.
